Stankonia moves at several speeds at once, matching André 3000 and Big Boi's contrasting deliveries with an unruly range of grooves. Racing percussion, sticky funk and spacious melodies share the same world without smoothing away their differences. The album's big singles anchor a broader, stranger landscape of sharp storytelling, eccentric detail and relentless rhythmic invention.
