Deftones “Deftones” CD

• Deftones' self-titled fourth album, released in 2003.
• Produced by Terry Date and Deftones.
• Includes Minerva, Hexagram, and Bloody Cape.

For fans of: White Pony, Will Haven, and dense atmospheric metal.

Deftones follows White Pony with a darker, more compressed sense of force. Low, abrasive guitar textures and Chino Moreno's fractured melodies give the songs an unstable pull, while brief openings into cleaner sound feel especially exposed. The record's appeal lies in that friction between bruising weight and the band's instinct for unusual beauty.
