Deftones “Around the Fur” CD

• Deftones' second studio album, released in 1997.
• Produced by Terry Date and Deftones.
• Includes My Own Summer (Shove It), Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), and Mascara.

For fans of: Hum, Helmet, and heavy music with a dreamlike edge.

Around the Fur tightens Deftones' rhythmic attack while allowing more melody and atmosphere into the frame. The low guitar weight is offset by open spaces and Chino Moreno's increasingly fluid vocal approach. Songs can feel claustrophobic and expansive at once, marking a key point in the band's move toward a sound that would become unmistakably their own.
