As I Lay Dying "Frail Words Collapse" LP

Orange Smoke Vinyl.

A pivotal 2003 metalcore album, praised for blending brutal hardcore energy with melodic, Swedish-inspired guitar work, catchy riffs, and emotional depth, though some reviewers found it repetitive or a transition album, noting its raw sound before cleaner production, but highlighting standout tracks like "94 Hours" and "Forever" for their technicality and melodic hooks. It's seen as a foundational release for the band, showcasing their mix of heavy breakdowns, clear screamed vocals, and early melodic singing, making it a solid, yet sometimes inconsistent, step towards their later, more polished sound.
