Danny Elfman's theatrical vocals meet horns, synthesizers and tightly wound dance rhythms.
For fans of: Devo, Talking Heads, Wall of Voodoo
Dead Man's Party turns Oingo Boingo's nervous energy into vividly arranged, rhythmically insistent pop. Horn lines, electronic colors and sharply accented guitars crowd the songs with character, while Danny Elfman's voice moves between invitation and alarm. The danceable pulse keeps the elaborate arrangements connected, making the record's darker humor feel lively rather than distant or forbidding.
