Bay Area death dealers Necrot continue their ascent to the forefront of American aural extremity with their third studio LP, Lifeless Birth!
Just the right amount of Bolt Thrower and Autopsy underpinnings. A death metal joy and will surely finish 2024 as one of DM’s best offerings. Necrot remembers that a bit (or a lot) of speed is welcome in a sub-genre that is now overwhelmed by cavernous and ponderous death-doom releases. Most of all, the riffs are exceptional throughout and the band legitimately plays as one, always tight and agile and on point.
Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Greg Wilkinson (who has helmed all three of Necrot’s Tankcrime-released albums) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, the Decibel edition of Lifeless Birth is housed in a golden foil stamped gatefold jacket, and includes a free album download card.
