Miles Davis “Essential Miles Davis” 2xLP

Essential Miles Davis puts the focus on trumpet-led modern jazz, from hard bop and modal playing to orchestral and electric experimentation.

• This collection emphasizes the parts of Miles Davis's catalog that made the biggest musical impact rather than functioning as a single-session studio album.
• The sequencing gives listeners a broad view of Miles Davis's phrasing, tone, and stylistic range across well-known repertoire.
• It works best as a survey for listeners who want major performances gathered in one place.

For fans of John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter.
