Meiko Nakahara’s second album, originally released in 1982 and packed with tracks that have gained renewed global attention amid the worldwide city pop revival—such as “FANTASY”, “Gigolo”, “Go Away”, and “FRIDAY MAGIC”—returns as part of the revived, ultra–high-end 100% Pure LP series. As bonus tracks, this edition also includes the re-recorded high-fidelity “DAM45” versions of “TIME LIMIT” and “CITY NIGHT”, originally featured on her previous album COCONUTS HOUSE and newly recorded around the same period as this album.

“100% Pure LP” is a special Made-in-Japan product line launched in 2012, widely recognized worldwide as a pioneer of modern high-fidelity vinyl. One of its defining features is the use of uncolored virgin vinyl, completely eliminating carbon and other pigments typically used in standard LPs—materials known to influence sound quality. By using only pure, straight PVC compound, the pressing achieves exceptional stability and consistency.

Another key highlight is the adoption of metal master pressing. By eliminating the conventional intermediate steps—metal mother and stamper—the grooves are pressed directly from the metal master, enabling extraordinarily faithful groove formation. Due to its lower durability, however, the number of pressings must be strictly limited.

This release further enhances fidelity through the use of 45RPM, a format traditionally used for 12-inch singles. Although the shorter playback time per side requires a 2LP configuration, the wider and longer grooves—and the increased rotational speed—deliver superior stability and significant advantages in sonic detail, clarity, and richness.

The audio is sourced from newly created 96kHz/24bit WAV files, transferred directly from the original analog master tapes. Mastering has been kept as flat as possible to preserve freshness and dynamic range, pursuing a natural and faithful reproduction of the original sound.

Through its uncompromising approach to every stage—from the selection of tape sources and vinyl materials to the pressing process—the 100% Pure LP series brings out the full potential of the vinyl format. The result is a sound that retains the punch and warmth unique to analog while eliminating any trace of muddiness or coloration, delivering a truly pure and crystal-clear listening experience.
