For fans of: Opal, Cowboy Junkies, Galaxie 500

She Hangs Brightly places clear, unhurried melodies inside a shifting haze of guitar, organ and restrained percussion. Hope Sandoval's singing stays close and intimate, even when the instruments become rougher or more expansive. Mazzy Star's balance of folk directness and psychedelic drift makes the album feel both grounded in old songs and quietly removed from ordinary time.
