John Coltrane “Blue Train” (Limited/180g/Transparent Red Vinyl) LP

Blue Train puts the focus on tenor and soprano saxophone, modal development, harmonic intensity, and spiritual searching.

• Coltrane is joined by Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones.
• The title track and “Moment's Notice” combine blues feeling with dense hard-bop writing and tightly voiced horn arrangements.
• It is Coltrane's only Blue Note album as a leader and one of the key recordings from his rapid late-1950s development.

For fans of Miles Davis, McCoy Tyner, and Pharoah Sanders.
