Fugazi’s sixth full-length album, originally released in 2001.
Jerry Busher contributes additional drums and percussion alongside Brendan Canty.
Includes “Cashout,” “Full Disclosure,” “Epic Problem,” “Strangelight,” and “Argument.”
For fans of: Unwound, Q and Not U, Jawbox
The Argument balances Fugazi’s abrasive guitar language with spacious arrangements, layered percussion, and unusually melodic turns. Quiet passages draw you in before the band tightens the pressure again. MacKaye and Picciotto keep the lyrics pointed, while Lally and Canty give the music a restless pulse. It captures a band still finding new possibilities in its sound.
