Darkthrone “Transilvanian Hunger” CD

• Darkthrone's 1994 studio album.
• Includes the title track, "Over fjell og gjennom torner" and "Skald av Satans sol."
• Raw Norwegian black metal built from rapid drumming, repeated guitar figures and harsh vocals.

For fans of: Burzum, Mayhem, early Ulver

Transilvanian Hunger makes repetition the source of its intensity. Thin, insistent guitar lines and fast percussion create a continuous surface, with small changes in melody altering the atmosphere rather than interrupting it. The exposed, unpolished recording gives the music a severe physical character, allowing the sustained patterns and distant vocal presence to hold the listener inside its tightly defined sound.
