Biohazard is a hardcore band formed in 1988 in the New York district of Brooklyn. The original lineup included guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei, bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist Bobby Hambel, and drummer Danny Shuler. They formed Biohazard for the purpose of expressing political views, and to discuss issues facing urban youth. Influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Run DMC, Bad Brains, Judas Priest, Cro-Mags, Public Enemy, The Ramones and Agnostic Front among others, they transcended categorization and labels to create a musical hybrid that combined heavy metal and hardcore. punk with elements of hip-hop and rap.
